UCS, Ultraflex Control Systems, is an Italian manufacturer of window automation for natural and smoke ventilation. Based in Busalla near Genoa, UCS is part of the Ultraflex Group. It has built window controls since the 1970s. It is a pioneer of smoke ventilation in Italy and represents the country on the European technical committees that write the smoke ventilation standards. Its range spans electric chain, spindle, and rack actuators, locking devices, and control panels. UCS focuses today on integrating window automation into building management systems through its programmable, addressable BMSline range.
Why UCS?
UCS represents Italy on the European technical committees for smoke ventilation. Its actuators are tested to EN 12101-2 and its control panels to EN 12101-10 for natural smoke and heat exhaust ventilation.
UCS BMSline actuators are programmable and addressable over Modbus RTU. They add real-time feedback, soft closing, speed synchronisation, and entrapment-risk reduction for integration into building management systems.
Chain actuators from 300 N up to synchronised rack systems at 4000 N, plus spindle actuators, E-LOCK locking, and control panels. Every part is designed to work together on the same window or vent.
UCS is part of the Ultraflex Group, which has manufactured motion and control products for over 85 years. UCS exports more than 80% of its output through a worldwide distribution network.
UCS products available through DNH
DNH supplies the UCS electric ventilation range into South Africa, from single-window chain actuators to synchronised rack systems and BMS-integrated control panels. Actuators, locking devices, and control panels are configured together as a system.
UCS chain actuators open and close top-hung, bottom-hung, and roof windows, domes, and louvres for natural ventilation. Synchronised and BMS-programmable versions are available across the range.
UCS is a pioneer of smoke ventilation in Italy. Its 24V DC chain actuators and smoke ventilation control panels are tested to EN 12101-2 and EN 12101-10 for natural smoke and heat exhaust ventilation.
Higher-force actuators for heavy windows, large facade and roof vents, and continuous louvre runs where a chain actuator is not enough. UCS rack systems drive mechanically synchronised multi-point openings.
UCS control panels, BMSline integration, and locking devices complete the system. BMSline actuators are programmable and addressable over Modbus RTU for integration into building management systems.
