maxon: Compact Drive Systems
The maxon IDX is a complete, pre-integrated drive system in an industrial housing. It combines a brushless EC-i motor, a GPX planetary gearhead, and an EPOS4 positioning controller in a single unit of 56 mm or 70 mm cross-section. Despite its size, it delivers the performance of a motor with a 25% larger footprint. Two integrated temperature sensors protect the motor winding and electronics automatically against overheating.
