TEPOS4 (Easy to use POsitioning System) is maxon's line of full-digital positioning controllers for DC and BLDC motors. Built to the CiA® 402 standard, EPOS4 integrates into single-axis setups through to complex multi-axis systems over CANopen or EtherCAT, with position, speed, and current/torque control and auto-tuning via the EPOS Studio software. Three hardware families cover every build stage: OEM Modules for custom motherboards, ready-to-connect Compact units, and Disk controllers for direct integration into joints and wheel drives.
Key advantages
Set up, tune, and diagnose drives from the EPOS Studio GUI, with auto-tuning built in.
CiA® 402 compliant, networkable and IoT ready: CANopen, EtherCAT, USB, and RS232 across the range.
OEM plug-in Modules, ready-to-connect Compact units, and Disk controllers for joints and wheel drives.
Protective functions for controller and drive, with STO and SSC safety variants available.
